聾貓 DEAF CAT

聾貓是香港一位漫畫家創作的漫畫人物. 最近牠越來越紅了, 商場亦以牠作為宣傳. 老實說, 我不覺得牠可愛.

Deaf Cat (In fact, I down know it official English name.) is a comic character created by a Hong Kong cartoonist. It is getting more popular. A shopping mall invited it for promotion campaign. In fact, I don't think it is cute.

暗 DARK

天空暗暗的, 即使是彩色的世界, 色彩都不見了. 拍一張黑白照, 拍到的, 和看到的, 都差不多.

The sky is dark. The color seems disappeared in this colorful world. Take a black and white picture. The world in the picture is same as the real world in my eyes.

熱狗 HOT DOG

此熱狗不同於食物的熱狗. 香港人嬉稱沒有冷氣的雙層巴士為熱狗, 至於起源, 可能是因為香港最大的巴士公司是九龍巴士, 九與狗同音, 很熱的九巴, 就成為了熱狗. 熱狗在香港已經很少了, 再過兩三年, 應該會全部更換成冷氣巴士吧.

This hot dog is not a food. Hong Kong people called the double deck bus without air conditioner a hot dog. Why they called it hot dog? Maybe because of the biggest bus company is the Kowloon Motor Bus. The first word of the company in Chinese pronounce the same as the dog. Hot dog is not common now. They may all replaced by the new air conditioned bus soon.

沙律吧 SALAD BAR

沙律吧是一個很有趣的東西, 它有各種各類的沙律配料, 讓你自由配搭. 有人各種都拿一些, 把盤子放滿. 有人只拿自己喜歡的, 拿自己需要的份. 有人喜歡疊得高高的, 想破自己的紀錄. 沙律吧前, 竟可看到世界的縮影.

Salad bar is a finny thing. It has different type of salad ingredients and let you choose yourself. Some people takes everything, and make the dish full. Some people takes their needs only. Some people stack up the ingredients for breaking their records. It is very funny that you can see different people in front of the salad bar.

菲林片 SHEET FILM

菲林片, 其實亦是膠卷, 只不過不是卷裝的. 一般人很少會接觸到菲林片, 特別是在這個數碼世代. 其實菲林片在以前是拍攝的主流工具, 只是較方便的膠卷出現後就漸漸被取代.

Sheet film, is also a film, which is not in roll form. Sheet film is not common now, especially in this digital age. In fact, sheet film was a common tools in photographic. It was replaced when the convenient film roll exist.

煙霧 SMOG

最近天空經常白蒙蒙, 這些不是霧, 而是煙. 很討厭這樣的日子, 因為視野差, 空氣亦很悶, 呼吸也變得困難. 若天天都是這樣, 我想我會很快死掉.

There is a white layer on the sky these days. It is not fog, but smog. I hate this weather, as the visibility is low, the air is steady and breathing become not easy. I'll die soon if the weather keeps likes this.

戰爭遊戲 WAR GAME

戰爭遊戲, 我一直都有參與. 有人覺得戰爭遊戲是一種很暴力的玩意, 其實並不是一般人想像的. 戰爭遊戲是講求合作, 加上冷靜的分析, 配合體力與反應, 一種對多方面都有鍛鍊的活動, 並不是拿著槍亂射. 間中參與, 是一種不錯的運動.

War game, I join occasionally. Someone thinks war game is a violent activity. In fact, it is totally different. War game require cooperation, analytical mind, reaction and physical strength. It is an activity that trains these aspects. It is a good activity to join occasionally.
